Newbury & Thatcham Hockey Club
You can expect a friendly welcome from Newbury & Thatcham Hockey Club. Our main ground is at Henwick Worthy Sportsfield , Thatcham.
Until our new Clubhouse at Henwick is built, we socialise after games at the SWAN pub on the A4, direction Newbury. We are grateful to the SWAN for their support.
The name of the club was changed in 2001 to reflect the club's membership from throughout the West Berkshire area.
A map is available on this site indicating how to find us.
The men’s section runs three senior teams and a veteran's side, while the ladies' section runs three teams and we have a thriving youth & junior section which has been supplying county players for more than 10 years.
Our new Club colours are red, white and navy: red shirts with white collar and yoke, red and white hooped socks, navy blue shorts/skirts.
Our festival is held every May bank holiday and teams from all parts of the British Isles from Guernsey to Scotland (as well as one or two from Europe who have joined in the fun) can be found enjoying some relaxed Hockey washed down by an excess of alcohol.
