Mr Tony Vella (6th Dan) brought the The Vella Institute of Taekwon-do into being as a way for him to operate a number of Taekwon-do clubs as head instructor, allowing him to develop the popularity of the sport. Consisting of three main clubs at present, Mr Vella welcomes enquiries from instructors wishing to benefit from association with the Institute.
The Institute welcomes enquiries from clubs and instructors wishing to join and invitations to competitions and events are always welcome.
Heath Taekwon-do, Cardiff
Heath Taekwon-do club is the largest club in the Institute and is a friendly club situated in Cardiff, South Wales. Run by Mr Tony Vella (Black Belt 6th Dan), the club aims to teach the Korean martial art Taekwon-do in a fun and practical way. Training concentrates on self defence, fitness and flexibility and technical expertise, helping students to develop their skills as they grow more proficient in the sport. All ages, abilities and sexes are welcome.
Shaftesburby Youth Club, Tranmere
Taught in the "Chang Hun Style" the club holds regular gradings, competitions & seminars. The club boasts one of the longest serving instructors in Merseyside and and boasts the only recognised ITF "Junior" instructor in Britain. Phone 0151 6487329 or 0151 6087165 for more details.
