SportFocus is delighted to announce it's latest contract award with the English Federation of Disability Sport for the implementation of a new website and an eLearning module for the Advocacy and Activity Buddy Scheme (AABS) project.

The aim is to increase participation of disabled people within sport through supporting sport and physical activity providers to train their volunteers and advocates to support their peers and groups they represent. This will be achieved through delivering a volunteering ‘Buddy scheme’ providing disabled people with volunteer support.

There will also be an online training resource made available to those prospective Activity buddies which will allow them to access their training at their own convenience. All resources are provided in fully accessible formats, and available on request.

The eLearning module will consist of a number of written modules and question papers, each volunteer will need to obtain a ‘pass’ in each module before being allowed to move the next stage.

From the new website there will be template documents such as marketing material, application and reference forms and participant and volunteer feedback forms so you are able to assess how your scheme is progressing.

Sitting at the core of the system will be our Database module which will enable the project team to track and communcate with all participants.
