RCCC appoints Communications and Marketing Officer

The Royal Caledonian Curling Club (RCCC) has gained a new member of staff with the
appointment of a Communications and Marketing Officer. Based at the RCCC office at
the Ingliston Showground, the funding for this new position has been made available
by sportscotland.
Annette Holmes has been appointed in the new role and will be responsible for all
aspects of communication and marketing focusing in particular on developing and
improving communications with members and partner organisations, attracting and
retaining sponsors and ensuring the profile of the RCCC and curling is raised.
Having relocated from Australia Annette’s background is retail communications and
marketing and she has worked on behalf of various commercial organisations within
Australia and in particular was responsible for ensuring marketing communications
efforts were reached for a chain of department stores throughout Australia.
Annette commented: “I am very excited to be working for the RCCC and feel that my
combination of commercial marketing skills with a sporting interest will contribute
to raising the profile of curling and encourage more people to participate in the sport.”
One of Annette’s first tasks as Communication and Marketing Officer will be to issue
