EHA Performance Director seconded to manage EHA

From 1st-June- 31st August, Mick Hegarty, current Director of Performance has been seconded (voluntarily) to manage the EHA and its staff , while it is in the process of recruiting additional full time staff. This is a voluntary not a paid position

Speaking about the temporrary move, Mick said  "The growth in the game has been unprecedented and with the growth has come the need to also increase the professional staff, both admin and development to cope with demand. The strictures of Sport England Funding have not allowed this to happen as quickly as we would all like . Consequently , the NEC, still with volunteers, has found it challenging to cope with the volume of work expected.

However, there will shortly be jobs advertised for admin, development and management which will move England Handball to a more professional level.Thise temporary secondment is primarily to establish working structures for the new staff to step into.
In the meantime, I hope to develop a cordial working relationship with all clubs and trust I can rely on your continuing goodwill and enthusiasm for our sport to take it to the next level."

EHA AGM Postponement to 26th June in Loughborough

Clubs  will have recieved information in the last few days relating to the originally planned AGM 12th June 2010.
Unfortunately this information has not been sent out with the required 21 day notice and therefore the AGM will be postponed until 26th June 2010 in Loughborough. Full details , venue and times will be sent to club secretaries by post Friday 28th June and be downloadable  on the website next week

On behalf of the EHA NEC, I would like to apologise unreservedly for the error

Cancellation of EHA International Coaching Conference
It is with regret I have to inform the members  that the planned International Coaching Conference in London 26/27 June is cancelled due to an insufficient number of applicants. To date there were only 3 applicants which obviously makes the event unviable.
