Tickets go on sale as netballers prepare for Superleague

5th November 2010

Tickets have gone on sale for TeamBath’s home fixtures in the 2011 Netball Superleague.

TeamBath’s netballers will commence their bid to retain the Superleague title with a trip to Team Northumbria in January followed by home games against Celtic Dragons and Loughborough at the start of February.

TeamBath secured their fourth title with a 51-44 victory over Hertfordshire Mavericks in the 2010 Grand Final in Nottingham in May.

It meant TeamBath have won four out of five Superleague titles, following their victories in 2006, 2007 and 2009.

Jess Garland, TeamBath’s head coach, said: “We’re really looking forward to the new season. It’s just over a couple of months away now, but we’re already training hard and honing our preparations.

“We’ve welcomed some new players to our netball programme this year and they so we have a particularly exciting mix.

“If we win the Superleague again this season we will complete an elusive hat-trick, we were just pipped to winning three titles a row after our first Superleague victories in 2006 and 2007. That really gives us something to aim for,” she added.

“Tickets for all of our home games are available now, as are season tickets. Our home games are being played in the TeamBath Arena in the main sport hall at the Sports Training Village. They will be bigger and better events than we’ve had before and there will be a great atmosphere.”

TeamBath get their 2011 campaign underway with a trip to Team Northumbria on Saturday 29 January. Superleague action then returns to the Sports Training Village with two games in quick succession at the start of February when TeamBath take-on Celtic Dragons on Thursday 3 February and then face Loughborough Lightning on Monday 7 February.

Home games follow against Glasgow Wildcats on Saturday 26 February, Northern Thunder on Monday 7 March, Mavericks on Friday 18 March, Team Northumbria on Sunday 10 April and Leeds Carnegie on Saturday 30 April. The last home game of the regular season will be the live televised match against Surrey Storm on Thursday 12 May.

TeamBath has introduced attractive season ticket packages for weekend and weekday home fixtures. Weekend season ticket packages, for Saturday and Sunday home games, cost £20 for adults and £14 for concessions, while season tickets for weekday games cost £32 for adults and £22 for concessions.

Tickets for individual games are £7.50 for adults and £5.50 for concessions.

Tickets are priced at £3.50 for University of Bath students and TeamBath Netball Club members on production of a valid card – these tickets only be bought at the Sports Training Village reception.
