Novus Leisure to sponsor Sport Industry Awards

20th February 2012

The Sport Industry Group is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership with Novus Leisure, in an agreement that sees the private bar and club operator continue its association with the Sport Industry Awards.

Novus Leisure is the UK’s largest private bar and club operator with 52 sites. Its venues dominate London’s West End and City districts, while its TigerTiger brand serves thousands of customers in towns and cities up and down the country. Through the website, meanwhile, its Late Night London brand provides the number one London nightlife guide to bars, clubs and restaurants, offering discounts and party packages, bespoke party planning and more. It is equally a valuable resource for every event planner.

Late Night London will be the official category sponsor of the Sport Industry Award for Best Use of Digital Communications in Sport – a fiercely contested category whose past winners include Manchester United, BBC Sport, Nike and the ECB.

Late Night London will receive an array of branding and marketing opportunities in the build-up to the Sport Industry Awards, as well as significant exposure and hospitality opportunities during the evening of the ceremony itself.

Rupert MacFarlane, Sales Director at Novus Leisure, said: "We specialise in memorable occasions, and the Sport Industry Awards are one of the most enjoyable nights on the London calendar. We also pride ourselves on digital innovation, bringing the London community together through, and so supporting the Award for Best Use of Digital Communications in Sport is a natural fit."

Nick Keller, Chairman of the Sport Industry Group, said: "Some of the most interesting and enjoyable work that has emerged from the industry in recent years has been digital, and Late Night London’s decision to support the Best Use of Digital Communications in Sport category at the Sport Industry Awards is a reflection of its own focus on delivering a first-class service online."

The Sport Industry Awards are once again expected to sell out in 2012, having drawn a record crowd of 1,750 influential figures from across the world of sport last year.

The Official Partners of the Sport Industry Awards are Barclays, Deloitte and Eurosport.
