Windsor U15s dominate Maidenhead

For the first ten mins the Maidenhead forwards had all the possession and Windsor seemed unable to get into the game. But the Windsor defence was solid and fly half Sandilands broke away for Windsor’s first converted try.

The Maidenhead forwards continued to dominate the rucks in what was turning into a very physical contest.
However every time Windsor won the ball it was passed swiftly to the backs, who always looked like scoring. Will Barth was taken off  with an injured shoulder, and replacement inside centre Sanders immediately made his mark, cutting through Maidenhead’s defence for Windsor’s second converted try just before half time.

Maidenhead fought back, but the Windsor forwards and defence was solid and Maidenheads attempted try was disallowed for a double movement.

Windsor was now dominating the game and fired the ball back into Maidenheads half. An incident off the ball involving lock Williams and three Maidenhead players saw Sandilands intervene to earn him and a Maidenhead play 10 mins in the sin bin. Windsor’s captain Graves replied immediately with yet another converted try.

The forward battle continued and Windsor hooker McCormack was also sent to the sin bin for retaliation after a foul. Undaunted and with only 13 players Windsor’s Sanders scored a further two converted try’s, followed by another by flanker.
Ben-Rondahand. Maidenhead where now in total disarray and immediately Sandilands rejoined the game he scored another converted try. As the game entered it’s final moments Windsor prop Blues burst through the defence and with only yards to the try line passed the ball out to Ben-Rondahand for an easy try. The try was converted as the final whistle blew.
