the whole point of BMX racing is Fun, fun, fun.....
Someone said it's all right Save it now. Don't say it for my sake Someone said it's all right Faster now. You know I got no brakes
I have found a tremendous amount of camaraderie in the BMX community since both my children started racing. They have found cycling skills and new 'life' skills which will assist them through the course of their growing years.
Come down and join us on one of our event days and see for yourself. The events can be found here and a location map is provided by visiting the frequently asked questions page. This page also has contact information. Race days will cost you no more than £5 for registration fees.
The following is a brief introduction for you.
BMX is no more dangerous than other sports as long as the correct measures are taken. This involves many things ranging from rider protection to bike maintenance. It is not necessarily an expensive sport either, but if you wish to progress to higher standards you may find dad's wallet, mum's purse and the money box being raided from time to time. A sensible approach to this as well as other elements will lead to fun for all without breaking the bank.
Oh and not to forget, when you receive your first regional/national trophy it can be an uplifting experience despite your actual positions.
