About Us
Our club is based in Essex, England, and was established in 1957. We hold over 30 local club time trial events, 2 open time trials, a road race, a mountain bike and cyclo-cross event each year. We have approximately 60 members at present, most of which race the club's Tuesday evening and weekend time trials. We also have racing members who enter the Open events which other club's members can also race. We have enjoyed sporadic success throughout recent years in road races and time trials, but our most successful discipline recently has been cyclo-cross. We have Steve Gregson to thank for this, he is our resident 'cross coach, and has run training sessions throughtout the last few winters in Gloucester Park, Basildon. This has lead to several Eastern Area champions, and the club winning the team award in the yearly cyclo-cross league.
