The Real Cost Car Imports Pro Cycle Team
The best of four and two wheels come together.
At the start of the 2000 UK Cycling season Real Cost Car Imports hit the headlines by creating and sponsoring the team with the longest name in British cycling. Rather than being a mere commercial stunt, the team continued to hit the headlines throughout the season and became Britain's second top team behind the Pro-Vision boys. After much searching a team of four riders was eventually chosen. Steve Stoneman (captain), Antony Malarczyk, Danny Axford and Andy Martin were riders who as well as having individual potential also had the skills to work as a team. A pre-season weekend in Chester confirmed the team's philosophy and with the direction of Ken Stoneman as manager, Gordon Wallace on the Website and Peter Keeley on the bikes Belton's vision was about to be realised - "I wanted to build a bike team that showed the same professionalism as I strive for in my business." As the season progressed there was little doubt that this was the case.
