The European Registry of Tennis Professionals was formed in 1989 with the objective of representing and promoting the interests of tennis professionals dedicated to the teaching of tennis throughout Europe.
The RPT aims to establish and develop the recognition of teaching tennis as a profession and to play an active part in the overall development of the game.
The RPT offers a complete range of professional training and certification courses, which will be recognized both throughout Europe and Internationally. In addition, it will endeavour to provide a service and support to all tennis coaches irrespective of age, sex, religion, race, or ability.
A head office together with satellite offices will be established throughout Europe with the specific aim of producing teaching materials in different languages and providing network support for the estimated 15,000 European members.
The RPT office has attracted over 1,000 members taking the total European membership to around 8,000. RPT offers members in the UK over 50 membership benefits supported by our major sponsors Wilson who offered 350 free terms contracts to RPT members this year and discounted terms to all other RPT members. In addition RPT members receive free subscription to ITW the ATP’s electronic newsletter and “This Week” produced by the ITF as well as our own RPTuk newsletter. These are just examples of our membership benefits which allow us to offer a membership service second to none.
