HISTORY: Northampton Archery Club was formed at Franklins gardens Northampton in 1948 and is the oldest archery club in the county.  The club later moved to Delapre Abbey and then in turn to a number of other venues in and around the town until settling at the Sywell Range site.

MEMBERSHIP:  Northampton Archery Club welcomes members from all parts of the community and of all abilities and encourages everyone to participate on equal terms.  The club is fortunate to have a coach who can sign in BSL to help us communicate more effectively.  Currently members range in age from nine years old to seventy plus year’s young and we are pleased to have a number of family groups within our membership.

Our members shoot all types of bow, Compound, Recurve, English Longbow and American Longbow.

Whilst primarily a target-shooting club we also support and take part in all forms of the sport such as clout shooting and field archery.

COURSES:  Beginners courses are now run most Saturdays throughout the summer period.  All instructors are GNAS  Archery Leaders or Coaches and the club provides all the equipment you will need.

See club WebPages for latest details

Website: The club operates a website, which provide details of club events and beginner’s courses as well as maps to help you find us.  Look us up on
