Shenley And Loughton Toxophilists is a young club in archery terms, celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2005. As a result of the recent increasing interest in Archery, SALT has become one of the fastest growing clubs in the region.
We have archers shooting all types of bows including Recurve, Compound, Longbow and Traditional. Members range from casual shooters to the more serious tournament Archers.
During the indoor season (October - April) we shoot in the main sports hall of the leisure centre on Sunday afternoons from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.
During the outdoor season, the club shoots on the school sports field located at the back of the leisure centre behind the tennis courts. The club meets on Sundays at 9:30am - 12:30pm with an afternoon session also, from 1:30pm - 4:30pm. However, at weekends and during the evenings, club members have access to the field providing there are two adults present with at least one adult being a member of the club.
Beginners Courses are provided by Shenley Leisure Centre held on Sunday evenings usually at 5:30pm. Each course consists of six sessions of one and a half hours within a group of up to sixteen.
