Over the next few months there will be 150 gyms nationally which will have acquired IFI accreditation. This means that they have gone through the process of making them more accessible for disabled users through accessibility, acquiring accredited fitness equipment, staff training and marketing to disabled users locally through and Inclusive Activator programme.
A volunteer scheme to support this project is also being launched shortly to recruit volunteers to assist disabled users at IFI sites who may require additional support to exercise.
