Etape Loch Ness
Sun 26 Apr 2015
The picturesque scenery around Loch Ness will once again be filled with thousands of cyclists for one of Scotland’s biggest cycling events – Etape Loch Ness – on Sunday 26 April. The 67-mile sportive, which takes place on closed roads, will see amateur and experienced cyclists from the UK circling the iconic loch on a stunning 360o course. Beginning in central Inverness, the timed challenge will see the cyclists taking in some incredible scenery along the route including the villages of Drumnadrochit, Invermoriston and Fort Augustus as well as experiencing some of the most thrilling cycling in the Highlands. The cyclists’ determination will be tested as they take on the ‘King of the Mountain’ challenge, the most challenging hill climb of the entire course which extends 8km and towers 380m in height.
