London to Canterbury Cycle Challenge
Sun 13 Sep 2015
Take on the challenging climbs and beautiful scenery of the Pilgrim's Way in the London to Canterbury Cycle Challenge on Sunday 13th September. A 65 or 80 mile scenic road route suitable for most types of bikes from mountain and road bikes, to hybrid and tandems! The route has been planned by professional Cycling Support Services, and is both well marshalled and fully signed. There will be first aid on hand, and mechanic coverage throughout the route. Four food-filled refreshment stops will fuel riders through the stunning route, and a well-deserved, complimentary massage awaits all those completing the ride. Finishers will also receive a medal of achievement and an exclusive rider goody bag. The fun doesn't stop there! New for 2015, The Children's Trust are staging a post ride party, with a live band, BBQ & on-site cafe, stands & stalls, and entertainment for the children including a bouncy castle and ice cream van. So why not invite all your friends and family to come and join in your success! A coach is available to take Kent based riders and their bikes from Canterbury to the start line in Greenwich Park, a space of which can be booked via The Children's Trust website. For more information and to check out our latest sign up offers, please visit www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/ltc , or give us a call on: 01737 364323. By entering our ride, you will be helping to support children with brain injury as we ask our riders to raise a minimum sponsorship of just £1 per mile cycled. Every year over 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness. Many children make a good recovery, but thousands have to live with ongoing, long-term difficulties. The Children's Trust offers the largest residential brain injury rehabilitation unit in the country. We work with thousands of children and families from all over the world and we wouldn't be able to provide this life changing service without our supporters.
