Esquif Canoes - Innovation in Design & Materials
26th August 2005Esquif Canoes is fast becoming a canoe manufacturer known for innovation in design & materials. At the recent Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, Esquif introduced 3 new materials and several designs. T-Form Elite and Twin-Tex are the result of extensive testing and research done by Esquif owner, Jacques Chasse and his Research & Development team. T-Form Elite is a unique material and thermoforming process that has been developed to produce a thermoformed, twin-sheet canoe. Using a proprietary polypropylene based material T-Form elite provides superior strength, weight and cosmetic properties. A thermoformed deck and hull of this unique material is fused to form the Taureau. Twin-Tex is a woven high tech fiber reinforced with polypropylene produced with a special thermoforming process to produce a very light, very stiff and very durable hull. Our third new material is composite material, Fiberglass and Kevlar. These foam core laminates produce the lightest weight hulls are ideal for flatwater paddling.
