NFA affiliated angling clubs and syndicates to receive extra FREE benefits

Following the NFA’s announcement of the bumper benefits package for individual members the NFA are declaring further support for affiliated angling Clubs by providing additional benefits to NFA membership to be launched in April 2006. This follows a reduction in affiliation fees in 2005 by up to 50% for some member clubs.

For ALL NFA affiliated angling Clubs and Syndicates the NFA has partnered with Towergate Insurance to provide access to suitable and extremely competitive insurance for its member clubs. These rates will be offered as a benefit of NFA membership and will be available from April 2006.

Additionally for ALL NFA water owning or controlling Clubs and Syndicates the NFA now offers FREE OF CHARGE three new services from May 2006 onwards.

  1. 1. Group legal protection by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company which covers legal defence, bodily injury, employment disputes, free helpline, statutory licence disputes, tax protection and property protection to guard against pollution incidents.
  2. 2. Via the website and through the NFA solicitors Herbert Mallam and Gower. NFA Clubs may email legal questions relating to the business of the organisation on a specific, item, topic or issue. This service will be free once per annum and all response will be held in a frequently asked questions file and available to all NFA affiliated Clubs.
  3. 3. APEM Aquatic Scientists will provide fishery advice via the website and once again each club will be able to utilise the service free once per annum and access a frequently asked questions file online. APEM is a professional science based environmental consultancy which the NFA are proud to work with. APEM operate at the highest level of scientific integrity and commitment and will provide fishery advice on a specific topic or item.

These benefits are in addition to the usual services offered by the NFA such as entry to NFA Nationals, access to coaching courses, free CRB checking, advice on child protection issues, risk assessments, Clubmark accreditation, general advice and support, free volunteers awards and authorization to deliver the Kingfisher Award by licensed coaches.
