TEAM GB WINS MEDALS AT EUROPEAN SHORT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to all our Short Track Speed Athletes who competed in the European Short Track Championships held at iceSheffield 19th – 22nd January 2007.  Particular success was achieved by Sarah Lindsay with an individual Silver medal in the 500m and the men’s relay team who managed to secure a bronze medal (Mens Relay Jon Eley, Paul Stanley, Paul Worth, Tom Iveson and Oliver Horsepool).  It is good to see the Short Track team achieving the success that they have worked hard for over the last 4 years.

 

Can I also pass on congratulations to the very hard working team of volunteers ably lead by Mina Machin and Tina Noble.  Everyone who attended and was involved in the event commented that it was one of the best competitions they had ever attended and the ISU delegates all returned home with a very positive view of Sheffield.

NISA is pleased to announce that we have made available a DVD of the Championships.  In the pack there are six DVDs covering all the events of the three days plus commentary by Wilf O’Riley.
