Wheelchair Curlers Become Bowlers Down Under

Wheelchair curlers have returned from Manly, Sydney Austrailia after representing a Scottish Disability Sports Scotland Team at the IBD World Championships,
The curlers were Rosemary Lenton, Jim Sellar, Ian Donaldson and Bill Masterton with Michael McCreadie as overall team manager.
The Scotland team consisted of 13 players with disabilities such as bling, parially sighted, Impaired balance and wheelchair users.
As you can imagine competition was of a high standard and very competitive but all games were played in a spirit of goodwill which resulted in many gifts being exchanged and friendships made.
On the playing side Scotland achieved 3rd place behind South Africa 1st and Austrailia 2nd in the overall competition which included 13 countries.
Also the partially sighted and blind section won three bronze and one silver.
