Borders win "Potty"

The Border Province hosted a challenge match with East Lothian Province for the "Potty".
The trophy for this match is the ill-fated potty. The original was bought by A Lindsay in Beverly and was growing the name of "The Beverly Bowl" but after the inaugural playing it only got to the front door of the rink before it became a jigsaw after falling from the hands of the winners, East Lothian.
A replacement was found on the Internet by Tom Middlemass which has now become "The Potty". Good to have a laugh about these things eh!!
This year the potty never turned up at Kelso. East Lothian, the holders brought the base with a new band on it with the engraving up to date. President Morgan Nicol was not at the match and it is thought that he might be using it at home.
However in true fun of the match a plastic baby's potty was found and used for the presentation which went in favour of the Borders, we think!!!
The evening was rounded of with some drinks, a meal, some stories and more drinks.
