TeamBath players gear up for Circuit Finals
21st May 2009TeamBath players will battle it out for honours at the Badminton England Circuit Finals at Milton Keynes on Saturday (23rd May).
The top four players and pairings from the ranking tournaments contest the finals at the end of the circuit season.
Three of the four men in the Yehlex Under-18 Open Circuit Finals are TeamBath players – Chris Coles, Stuart Rowlands and Josh Green.
Green and Coles recently won bronze with England in the team event at the Under-17 Six Nations in Denmark, where Coles was half of the silver medal winning men’s doubles partnership in the individual competitions,
TeamBath’s Emily Hollis and her partner Amber Gregory topped the women’s doubles under-18 rankings to book a place in their finals.
The TeamBath pair of Ben Caldwell and Chris Hotchen will both contest the final stages of the men’s singles competition of the Satellite Circuit. It’s a particularly busy weekend for University of Bath Chemistry student Hotchen, who also plays in the climax to the Challenger Circuit.
Coles, Green and Hollis are on the Advanced Apprentice in Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme at the University of Bath.
