Working Together for British Development

17th July 2004

At a meeting of the Board of Directors of Ice Hockey UK held on 5th July 2004 in Edinburgh, it was reported that matters are well in hand for the Under-20 World Championships being held at iceSheffield in December. This is a fine example of co-operation between IHUK and its partner organisations, the rink and the clubs there, and the civic authorities in Sheffield all of whom are determined that these Championships will be a major event in the sporting calendar of 2004. Some changes have occurred on the Board of Directors. In line with Ice Hockey UK's policy of rotation of offices, Neville Moralee has succeeded Stuart Robertson as Chairman. Gary Stefan has resigned as a Director representing FBNL. Neville Moralee has stated: "Gary was one of the original Directors of IHUK, and has made a significant contribution to the organisation. His input was always useful, based as it was upon a long and profound knowledge of our sport. We hope that he will continue his connection with the GB Senior Team."
