One of Ireland’s most prestigous field Archery competitions -The Ron Bell Memorial Shoot- has been won by Larne Archer Robin Brown. Robin, a member of Larne Archery Club beat some top quality shooters including a former world champion to win with a score of 948 points over the two-day shoot on the 3rd and 4th September. The result is even more deserving considering that Robin has only been involved in Archery for six months.

Thankfully the weather remained kind for the competition which involves Archers shooting at 3D foam animal targets in various types of terrian including woodland. Also taking part were Larne Archers Alan Hughes and Julie Ward who finished 47th and 48th respectively. This is also quite an achievment considering that this was Alan and Julies first competition.
