England coach, Melanie Chowns, has named her squad for the EHF’s Challenge Trophy in Bosnia and Herzogovina from 5th April to 10th April.

The European Handball Federation’s emerging nation’s championship will feature teams from Albania, Georgia, Armenia, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Estonia and the hosts Bosnia.

England women’s first venture into major international competition will be an extremely tough challenge with the team based on England’s junior side plus a few seasoned international players.

With five games in five days the trip will be a big learning curve for the young England team. The experience of players such as Ruislip Eagles’ Rena Fairbrother and Manchester University’s Donna Hankinson will be all important.
