Men 7

Scotland  7  Denmark  9

Scotland’s men have an unbeaten record so far. Now they face Denmark with just one win. And this game went all wrong for Scotland in end five, Denmark drew round the guards, David Murdoch tried to raise the guards on to the shot rock, it didn’t work, Denmark drew for three, a hit and roll for Scotland didn’t quite work Denmark had a hit for three. Scotland dropped another three in end seven. They played on to end ten but couldn’t get the win.
Scotland are now tied with Switzerland on six wins, Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden are on four wins.

Women 7

Scotland   4   Denmark 8

Scotland’s women’s team just didn’t look the part in this game, Denmark had a four shot lead after four ends. It looked as if the tide might turn in end six when Scotland stole a single as the Danish skip’s last stone wrecked, that cut the deficit to two shots. But it wasn’t to be, Scotland conceded after nine ends.
Russia are undefeated with seven wins and have now qualified for the semis, Germany are in second place, Denmark, Sweden, Italy  and Switzerland are all on the same win/loss record as Scotland.

Men 6

Scotland  8  Switzerland  3

Scotland and Switzerland were tied at the top of the table going into this sixth round game, Switzerland have looked the biggest threat so far in this championship. David Murdoch’s team came out firing on all cylinders putting three shots on the board in the first two ends. They didn’t look back from there, thanks to some great shot play Switzerland couldn’t get into the game, they conceded after eight ends when Scotland got another two shots.
Scotland table leaders, unbeaten in six games, Switzerland are on five wins, Finland, Germany and Norway chasing on four wins. Scotland meet Denmark tonight.
