Yesterday was a great day. The team started at Redbridge School, where the Lord Mayor of Liverpool greeted them. The pupils all had turns on the adapted bikes, with the Lord Mayor joining in too! It was a great opportunity to see how important working with local communities is in disability sport. They then got on their own bikes and took the straight road from Liverpool to Manchester.

Their journey yesterday took them to the Village Hotel Hyde. This hotel has really taken the whole event to heart and has been fundraising for DSE through a sponsored exercise bike-a-thon in their reception! Last night the DSE staff joined the team in the hotel, where they were all treated by the hotel to a delicious three-course celebration dinner. The generosity, support and service in the hotel truly has been something worthy to promote.

Today, the team woke up early ready for the Glossop hills. Their mission will take them to Sheffield and Ponds Forge- the home of DSE swimming events. There, they will meet the Lord Mayor of Sheffield and school children who have been fundraising for them. Ponds Forge are providing the cyclists with a much-needed carb lunch. They will then travel onto Worksop, where they will spend their penultimate night at the Best Western Lion Hotel.

Keep it up! We are very proud of you!
