By 5pm, the cyclists will be home and dry at Skegness Butlins! What an exciting thought after over 250 miles on their bikes, raising money for Disability Sport Events.
Yesterday they cycled from Hyde in Manchester across the Glossop hills into Sheffield. In Sheffield, pupils from Seven Hills school joined the men at Ponds Forge, where the Lord Mayor of Sheffield was waiting. After a few interviews and photographs for the local press, they were back on their bikes to Worksop. There, they stayed the night at the Best Western Lion Hotel, ready for the final leg of the ACROSS BRITAIN BIKE RIDE.
They started off early this morning in glorious sunshine. It is fair to say they have had great weather for their journey. There may have been a few punctures on the way, but the men have enjoyed the friendly reactions and encouragement from everyone they meet.
Senior dignitaries from Butlins, the local Nationwide Building Society branch and Skegness Grammar School will be waiting for the team as they ride into their final destination.
You're nearly there boys!
