They did it! Three men in lycra reached Skegness Butlins late afternoon today. They were overjoyed to see the welcome reception waiting for them, after 250 miles of hills, roads and sweat.
The Lord Mayor of Sheffield and Skegness Grammar School joined the party. Skegness Grammar School presented a cheque for £250 to the cyclists, after fundraising for DSE. Nationwide Building Society's local branch also celebrated with them after their fundraising week.
The men have enjoyed every minute of the ride and want to thank everyone for their support along the route. From the companies who have donated hundreds, to the children who donated their pocket money, this trip has been more than just fundraising. With newspaper articles in every town visited, the PR has been outstanding for the events division of the English Federation of Disability Sport.
We want to continue raising money for our Junior Swimming Championships, so please help us at www.justgiving.com/dsecharitybikeride
THANK YOU!
