Scotland's Gordon Reid and Warwickshire's Jordanne Whiley have clinched a British clean sweep of boys' and girls' singles and doubles titles for the second successive year at the Cruyff Foundation International Wheelchair Tennis Junior Masters in Tarbes, France.
Reid retained his boys singles title on Sunday, beating Dutchman Tom Egberink in straight sets for the second successive year. Earlier in the day Whiley won her third successive girls' singles title after beating Wiltshire's Louise Hunt in the first ever all-British Junior Masters final.
Halesowen 16-year-old Whiley had gained a straight sets victory over Hunt on Saturday when the two Britons met in their third and last round-robin singles match. Hunt made the slightly better start to Sunday's girls singles final, dropping just one point in the opening two games to go 2-0 ahead.  Whiley broke straight back before 17-year-old Hunt double-faulted on game point in the seventh game to give Whiley the lead for the first time. Whiley held serve comfortably to open up a two game cushion and another double fault from Hunt brought Whiley the first of three match points. The Warwickshire player needing just her first opportunity to wrap up the set 6-3 after 23 minutes. Hunt had a break point on Whiley's opening service game of the second set, but could not take her opportunity. Whiley opened up a 3-0 advantage.  Whiley broke for the second time to lead 5-1, but was broken herself when serving for the match.  However, the reigning champion created three break points and three match points in the next game, putting the seal on a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the first opportunity after 50 minutes.
In the boys singles final, 16-year-old Egberink double-faulted in the first game as Reid established the first break.  Reid had another break point that would have given him a 3-0 lead, but Egberink held on until Reid converted the second of three break points in the seventh game.  The 17-year-old Helensburgh-based World No 1 ranked junior then served out on his first set point. Egberink double-faulted to hand Reid the first game of the second set.  After the Dutchman had broken back, Reid saved break points in his next four service games, but finally gained the crucial break in the 11th game of the set before serving out for a 6-2, 7-5 victory on his second match point after an hour and 13 minutes.
Reid partnered fellow Briton Philip Cochrane to win the boy's doubles on Saturday afternoon.  The top seeds beat Egberink and Argentina's Gustavo Fernandez 6-2, 6-4 to give Reid his third successive Junior Masters boys' doubles title. Cochrane gained his first after being on the opposite side of the net to Reid in the 2008 final.
Hunt and Whiley also won their third successive Junior Masters girls doubles title after a 6-2, 6-4 victory over American Mackenzie Soldan and Brechje Widlak of the Netherlands.
Contested by 12 of the world's leading junior wheelchair tennis players aged 18 and under,  the Junior Masters takes place alongside the final four day of Les Petits As, the prestigious tournament for mainstream junior players between the ages of 12-14.  Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Justine Henin and Lindsay Davenport have all been winners or finalists at Les Petits As as junior players.
