This summer remember swimming pools are fun places to visit but can be dangerous

Wise up on water safety before you go................

Fully qualified and trained lifeguards are there to help you and ensure everyone's safety in the pool, always follow their advice and feel free to ask for assistance at any time.  Never attempt to enter the water if there are no lifeguards present.

Slips & Falls
Slips and falls, sometimes resulting in serious injuries, are by far the most common type of accident in swimming pools.  Please be aware that wet surfaces can be slippery and NEVER RUN around the poolside.

Hygiene
You can help us to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness by:-
Wearing blue shoe covers in the changing village or taking your shoes off before entering the changing village.
Showering before entering the pool.
Ensuring that babies wear well fitting baby swimming costumers with waterproof protection (not nappies).
Encouraging young children to use the toilet before they swim.
Not swimming if anyone has a recent history of diarrhoea.

Diving
Pools often operate diving restrictions, check the signs and ensure that you only dive in designated areas with sufficient depth of water.

Flumes
Always check your height before you ride the flume.  Height restriction of 1.1 m applies on all the flumes.
At the top of the flume queue sensibly and wait your turn.  Remember, no pushing or riding in pairs.  If you change your mind you can always come back down.
Always wait for the lifeguard to tell you to go at the top of the flume.
The riding position must be feet first.  Remember no spinning or turning whilst riding.
Leave the flume splash area immediately to make room for the next rider.
NOTE - the green flume is for competent swimmers only as the ride opens out in to a pool of water 3m deep.

Wild Rapids Water Features
Wild water and rapids are great fun but can be dangerous.  Be aware that powerful undercurrents are likely and the water depth may alter.

Have A Happy, Healthy Visit
