Allan Stuart from Glasgow who represented Great Britain at the Paralympics in Sydney in the T20 class for athletes with a learning disability has just achieved his greatest achievement to date in mainstream sport. At the AAA's under 23 Championships in Bedford he won the 400 metres in a time of 46.72 a new Championship record. This places him fifth on the Scottish all time ranking list. A remarkable achievement for this young man who has achieved everything in disability sport and is now experiencing similar success in mainstream sport.

He has also qualified for the European under 23 Championships in Poland in July and this will be the first occasion that he has been awarded a full mainstream athletics vest. His time in Bedford will be a new World record for athletes with a learning disability and it could not come at a better time for him as he heads to Tunisia for the INAS World Athletics Championships.
