A tiered approach to information and training
During 2010-2011, Fife Moving & Handling for Family Carers Project will continue to offer information and training to unpaid family carers across Fife to help them protect their own health and that of the person they care for.
Information Pack, including:
DVD demonstrating moving & handling techniques, filmed with families in their own homes
Guide for carers (written in partnership with the national charity BackCare)
Information leaflet on services available in Fife
Available from New Year 2011
Training workshops
At various locations across Fife to provide awareness about backcare and better ways to move and handle
Home-based moving and handling training and advice (following successful programmes in 2008-9 & 2009-2010)
Provision of training and advice in your own home
