England Under 19 squad for first Test against Bangladesh U19
15th July 2004The ECB has announced a 12-man England Under 19 squad to contest the first Test against Bangladesh Under 19 at Headingley on 28–31 July. England will play a three-match Test Series against Bangladesh before the teams come together for a three match One-Day International series at the end of August (itinerary below).
The England squad is captained by Essex opening batsman, Alastair Cook, who led the team in the ICC Under 19 World Cup last winter. Nine players picked for the World Cup squad are included for the first Test in Leeds.

The Bangladesh Under 19 squad arrives today (Thursday 15 July) for a first ever six-week tour of England. The team is captained by left-arm spinner, Enamul Huq Jnr, who played both Test Matches against England in Bangladesh last winter. Other players with senior international experience include Talha Jubaer, who has played six Test Matches and six One-Day Internationals for Bangladesh as an opening bowler, and opening batsman Nafees Iqbal who played two One-Day Internationals against England last November.
