About Us
As most surfers will tell you, there are now more people in the water than ever. Surfing is still the fastest growing water based activity in the country. Unfortunaltey this growth has meant that an increase in 'surf rage', as people take up surfing without understading the basic etiquette of surfing and paddle out through the take off zone and then try to take every wave, dropping in on all and sundry!
The only way we can reduce this is through education!! Our aim at The Scarborough Surf School is to teach new surfers in a controlled and structured manner how to surf safely and instill the basics of surfing etiquette at the start of someones surfing experiences and continue to remind them that the best surfer is the one in the water with the biggest smile!!
All of our surf instructors are BSA trained and have several years of surfing experience.
For those who don't want to take part in stuctured lessons, we have a large selection of surfboards, wetsuits and bodyboards for hire on an hourly basis. We also have a changing room, toilet and a secure storage area for your belongings while you are out surfing.
