Welcome to the Reef Experience
We are a surf school based in the UK, Newquay, Cornwall. We run 7 days of the week, 12 months of the year, and whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced surfer wishing to improve Reef Surf School has a lot to offer you. All our instructors are BSA approved, fully qualified beach life guards and members of the National Coaching Federation so you are in safe hands.
Here at Reef Surf School we have a real hands-on approach to teaching that is both fun and very rewarding for student and instructor. This is confirmed by the many students that return to Reef time and again and are now known as 'The Reef Posse'.

Reef caters for all, whether you have never surfed before, in need of a refresher course, or have been surfing for years and would like to challenge yourself further.
Packages
We offer courses anywhere from half a day to six day packages. If you have any specific requirements then please don't hesitate to contact us and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. To see a list of the specific packages we offer look at prices.
Spring And Autumn Deals
3 days surf tuition including bed and breakfast at the Reef Surf Lodge also including coaching and equipment from just £49!!! This offer is available from March April May and October November December (inclusive). Check surfing tuition only prices if you do not need accommodation.
June/September Deals
3 days surf tuition including bed and breakfast at the Reef Surf Lodge Lodge also including coaching and equipment all for just £79!!! This offer is available for June and September only. Check surfing tuition only prices if you do not need accommodation.
July/August Deals
3 nights bed and breakfast and 3 full days surfing including coaching and equipment all for just £150!!! 6 nights bed and breakfast and 6 full days surfing including coaching and equipment all for just £250!!! These offers are available throughout the peak season of July and August.
If you are just interested in surfing, without accommodation, then we also offer 6 full days surfing including coaching and equipment for just £99!!!

Video Analysis
For those who are progressing with their surfing we can offer Video Analysis. Have a personal instructor with you on the water while another videos the session, giving direct feedback to the pupil via walkie talkies. After the session the video can be analysed in detail showing the pupil their strengths and weaknesses. After just one season of using video analysis we can say categorically that it is a very worth while teaching tool for both pupil and instructor.
Tandem Surfing
Reef is the first surf school in the UK to offer the opportunity to the public to experience tandem surfing. This is a great way for people who would not normally experience surfing to get a first hand feel of what it is like to ride a wave with a qualified instructor allowing you to enjoy the thrill of surfing safely!
Carribean Reef
Shed those winter blues and come to Barbados for just £399 per week!!! Learn to surf in just shorts or a bikini (which ever takes your fancy). Just to make sure we sampled the merchandise. Take a look at what lies in store for you over at Carribean Reef.
BSA Certification
New for the millenium, the BSA have launched a new certification scheme for surfers. Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates each progressively cover areas of surfing and surfing techniques and will be awarded based on the competence of the pupil in executing those techniques. Reef Surf School is one of the first schools to run the new BSA certification scheme and if interested then please contact us to find out more.
