Club History

Mediaspec FC was started in the year 2002. Prior to that date, the club was known as Larkfield FC which was formed in the year 2000. At that time, the squad was predominately made up of bus drivers and managed by our current Assistant Manager, Andy Warnock, and assisted by our current Club Secretary, Billy Younger.

The team started to rapidly evolve with the arrival of key people such as our current Manager, Rab Mullen, and it wasn't long before a sponsorship deal was struck with computer based company, Mediaspec UK. Mediaspec's Managing Director, Eric Joseph, initially viewed this association as a PR opportunity. However, it quickly became apparent that he had become involved in a club, not only with talented footballers in abundance, but a passionate club with a clear vision for the future.

An injection of funds allowed the club to take their professionalism and ambition to a new level, and Mediaspec FC was born. By that time, the club had outgrown the Reidvale Camlachie Sunday Morning league and moves were made to join Glasgow's Sunday Amateur League. The club now take up residence at Drumpellier pitches in Coatbridge, and as league protocol dictates, start in Division 3.

So what does the future for Mediaspec FC hold? Well, a steady climb to the top of the league, along with some much deserved silverwear!
