Shaw Boys is a youth soccer club in the Newbury (Berkshire, UK) area.
The original Shaw Boys were originally formed in 1970 by Bill Summers, Chic Sargeant, and George Pizzey. In that year the team was called "Globe Trotters".
In 1971 / 1972 the team was re-named Shaw Boys as sponsorship was secured from Shaw Social Club in Newbury.
In 19 Shaw Boys merged with Echinswell F.C. and then some time later with Newbury Town Football Club and eventually became AFC Newbury.
In 2002, two Shaw Boys originals Martyn Davis and Mark Pizzey, stepped out of the AFC Newbury umberella and established Shaw Boys (2002) Football Club.
Shaw Boys (2002) Football Club have enjoyed success with an under 15's boys team in their first year, finnishing at or very near the top of the Peter Houseman Youth League Division 1. Not a bad achievement in our inaugural year !
