The Mark of a Pro course is the most successful independent training course for coaches in the UK. It has been running now for almost 20 years and has prepared thousands of coaches in preparation for professional certification. The course uses the successful Spanish Coaching Methods and is designed to open the doors of teaching tennis for either full or part-time coaches. The Mark of a Pro course is ideal for new teachers and coaches who wish to improve their knowledge of the basic teaching concepts and skills in order to improve performance as well as for existing coaches who wish to add to their overall knowledge.
The course is very practical and gives the basis for a development framework and planning of programmes and sessions for training at the beginner and intermediate level. As well as information on technical and tactical aspects of tennis there is also an introduction to sports science, marketing, promotion and business development
After completing the RPT course and associated certification programme, you may apply for an LTA equivalence at level 1 (equivalent to DCA) providing you fulfil all the criteria set by the LTA. This will allow you to apply for an LTA coach licence.
