Aylesbury United Ladies FC was re-established in 2001 as the ladies team of Aylesbury United, following the demise of Berkhamsted Ladies, after a number of years without a team.

Under the management of Ian Austin, the side struggled during it's first season in the South West Combination and were relegated but the team showed tremendous spirit and refused to give in.

The following season the club established itself in the Southern Region Premier Division and were runners up in the League Cup Final.

In 2004 the club decided to set up a reserves team because of the increasing number of girls interested in playing football. Ex first team goalkeeper Marieke Hughes and long time Aylesbury United supporter Andy Foster took on the role of jont managers and the club went from strength to strength.

While the first team continued to make progress in the Southern Premier, the reserves finished the season with a flourish narrowly losing on penalties in the Thames Valley League Plate Competition.

Following the departure of Ian Austin and the entirity of the first in the summer of 2005 the club faced an uncertain future.

However Andy Foster stepped up to take over the Ladies section, ably assisted by Chris Naisbitt and Chris Gell and supported by Bethan Harris and Kate Naisbitt, and although the club have resigned from the Southern League they face an exciting future once again with a good mix of experience and youth and will look to make an impression both in this season's Thames Valley League but also with their newly formed Under 16 side.
