TeamBath Beach Volleyball player on the road for qualifying
6th October 2006New Team Bath Beach Volleyball athlete Lucy Boulton begins the long road to 2008 Olympic selection when she competes in the next two SWATCH FIVB World Tour events in Acapulco ,Mexico (23-27th October) and Phuket, Thailand (31st October 4th November).
The 20 year old, who is originally from Hornchurch, Essex, leaves on a six week tour which has her training with her team-mate Denise Johns in San Diego, USA, prior to these qualification events.
Olympic qualification is decided by taking each team¹s eight best results at the 32 World Tour events between now and a month prior to the 2008 Olympic Games which will be in Beijing.
In addition each nation can only qualify a maximum of two teams. Coaching the team on this trip will be Teambath beach volleyball coach Angela Clarke.
