A Successful First England Youth Squad Talent ID Camp

"The future is bright, the future is handball" So said Gary Kelsall, Coach at Deva HC one of the many coaches who took the time to come and work with the new England Youth Coaches, Miriam Pupalova and Jose Benavides, at the first Talent ID Camp at Wolverhampton on Saturday 20th February.
More than 100 boys and girls were put through their paces both on and off court where, GB Captain and assistant GB Coach gave the players a presentation and opportunity to ask questions about what it takes to become a World Class Handball player.
Both Coaches were very excited with Benavides saying, "With this talent pool, hard work and with the passionate support we now receive from every corner of the handball community in England, the only way is up. With proper support from the different agencies and partners I am confident that England Handball will take a massive quantum leap over the next few years in the international arena".
Coach Pupalova was equally positive saying, “It was fantastic day for all of us who have been involved with Girls selection. All invited players had chance to show their talent in physical test, defensive, attacking skills and how well they know handball game. We had total 25 girls and still more talented players U16 will be invited for the next camps. Most players were from the North of England and I would like to see more players coming from the South. I am looking forward to the next camps and see the future England handball to grow and grow!”
