EHA 2nd Annual Coaching Conference, June 2010

 2nd Annual Coaching Conference
June 25th – 27th 2010

 

This year’s Annual Coaching Conference will be held at St Mary’s University, Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, West London, TW1 4SX. The conference will commence at 6.30pm on Friday 25 June and closing at 1pm on Sunday 27 June 2010.

 

Following the success of last year’s Conference in Liverpool, it has been decided to move to the Capital this year as part of our efforts to boost interest and participation in the South of England.

 

The new London and South East Development Officer has been appointed and is based in Newham, East London and this year’s Cup Final will be held at Brentwood, Essex.

 

The Conference will follow a similar format to the 2009 Conference, with leading coaches delivering up to date information on Coaching.

 

This year, in addition to Scandinavian coaches, we are pleased to announce that Dragan Djukic, the GB Men’s Coach, will lead part of the programme, along with the GB Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jure Sterbud. In addition to strength and conditioning, there will be a focus on core techniques, plus attack and defence.

 

The GB Men’s U 21 Squad will be on hand to provide quality demonstrations. There will also be a series of seminars throughout the programme to enable coaches to exchange thoughts and ideas.

 

The Conference is aimed at Club Coaches, Assistant Club Coaches and any players with coaching aspirations, plus teachers of Handball and Level 2 Award holders and all members of our Tutor Workforce.

 

It is vital that all working coaches are updated on a regular basis. Without this information from leading European Coaches, we will not progress as coaches ourselves and we certainly will not be able to improve the quality of the next generation of players.

 

These meetings are also good social occasions, where all our coaches meet and discuss developments in the game at home and abroad.
