Tickets selling fast for BRC Equine Forum

15th September 2010

Tickets are selling fast for the British Riding Clubs Equine Forum at Bishop Burton College, near Hull on Saturday 30 October.

Top of the bill is event rider Ruth Edge who will showcase one of her youngsters during the tutorial on preliminary test movements, whilst another advanced horse will be impressing with medium movements. Ruth will also be demonstrating her show jumping abilities and showing the best way to tackle those tricky cross-country fences using simulated obstacles.

Ruth was Young Rider National Champion in 1999 and is currently listed in the top 100 British Eventing riders. Trained by Judy Harvey and Yogi Breisner, Ruth will be dazzling delegates with all manner of advice for budding event riders. At the age of 18, Ruth had her first clear round at Badminton on Ice Dancer and went on to win the Luhmuhlen CCI**** in 2007 riding Two Thyme. She loves to train in the hills of her Cumbrian home and is busy with training clinics all around the country.

Other attractions for the Forum include Louise Broom of Personal Best, who will be on hand to help with rider posture and balance using the College’s high-tech mechanical horse. There will also be a veterinary talk on when it is safe to treat your horse’s superficial injuries at the yard and when it is necessary to call the vet.
