Impressive Threesomes Winners

36 curlers took part in the Club’s annual Threesomes competition on 18th November. With only 3 players in the rink and each player putting up 2 stones as normal this leads to shorter but still exciting games. This year each rink played 3 games of 3 ends against different opposition. The final result was very close with the rinks skipped by Euan Fraser, Bob Johnston and Peter Brown winning all three of their games. However, the winner of the beautiful Dunnikeir kettle first presented as a curling prize by Dunnikeir Curling Club in 1868 was the rink of Peter Brown, Ann Mitchell and Gordon Webster (photograph) who managed to win no fewer than 8 out of the 9 ends they played! Congratulations to them. An enjoyable evening was rounded off with delicious stovies provided by the Fife Ice Arena.
