Another great year for BHS TREC
24th November 2010The winners of the 2010 South Essex Insurance Brokers BHS TREC League were announced at the BHS Annual Awards, held at Saddlers’ Hall in the City of London.
Well-deserved winners of the Novice Pairs League were Isobel France and Sue Lee, who beat their nearest rivals by 16 points. The Novice Individual League was won by Clare Reynolds on her “horse of a lifetime”, Starlight Sylvester. Clare had a tremendous season, culminating in being crowned Level 3 Individual Champion of Great Britain at the National Championships as well as winning the Novice Individual League.
The Open Pairs League was won for the second year by husband and wife combination Dave and Sheila Rogerson, while Anna Weston held off tough competition to clinch the Open Individual BHS TREC league, also for the second year in a row. Anna won a bespoke bridle from the Worshipful Company of Saddlers for her efforts.
The J F Brammer “Unsung Hero’s Award”, kindly donated by the Brammer family in memory of John Fredrick Brammer, is presented in recognition of all the unsung heroes and volunteers who assist at events throughout the country. This year’s recipient is Peter Bean for his continued support of BHS TREC. Whether supporting his daughter Kathryn when competing for team GBR, or organising events and training, Peter puts his all into the sport of TREC. He really epitomises this award and is a truly deserved recipient.
Daniel Nolan was awarded the BHS TREC Sportsmanship Tankard in recognition of a competitor’s sportsmanship shown to fellow TREC competitors throughout the year.
