Kyle Edmund defeated in boys’ French Open singles

Kyle Edmund’s run in the junior singles event came to an end on Thursday at Roland Garros after a three set defeat by Alexander Zverev.
Edmund, who had reached the quarter-finals of the boys’ singles, fell to the German fourth seed 6-2, 5-7, 6-0 in one hour and 49 minutes.
While Edmund’s singles campaign ended, the Briton saw success in the boys’ doubles with Portuguese partner Frederico Ferreira Silva. The third seeded duo, who also claimed the 2012 boys’ US Open doubles title together, have reached the semi-finals and play French pair Benjamin Bonzi (FRA) Quentin Halys next.
