Jacobsen hurled a huge 75.52m to win the women's hammer, whilst France's Jade Maraval was a shock winner of the women's javelin in the Cypriot capital.

Germany's European U23 champion Steven Richter set a European lead to win the men's discus and compatriot Katherina Maisch won the women's shot put as Europe's leading throwers flexed their competitive muscles on the international stage.
