Highlights from Day 2 of Nicosia 2026 European Throwing Cup
16th March 2026Czechia Volodymyr Myslyvcuk threw the first 80 metre throw in the men's hammer for 17 years at a European Throwing Cup to win gold in another thrilling day in Nicosia on Sunday (15).
It was one of the standout performances as Nicosia 2026 drew to a conclusion with Germany topping the medal table with four gold and three bronze. Other highlights included:
- Poland's Daria Zabawska and Konrad Bukowiecki taking gold in the women's discus and men's shot put respectively
- Germany's Nick Thumm winning the men's javelin with 81.05m
- Sweden's Patricia Kamga among the U23 winners on the final day
